Today is one of my favorite flowers to make, a daisy. I have made several different daisy quilts over the years. First came Starlit Daisies.

Next was the first edition of A Freshness of Spring.

And then came the second edition of A Freshness of Spring.

In Starlit Daisies I used individual petals even though I used all the same fabric, but in A Freshness of Spring, I used grouped petals, grouping all the back petals together and all the front petals together. For today's block I used individual petals as I wanted to use all different fabrics.

I chose pale blue flowers for this block which meant I needed to outline each petal so they would stand out against the background.

Here is how my finished block looks.
