Friday Flower Livingstone Daisy

As a young girl I have always admired the Livingstone Daisy. I am not sure if it is the bright colors I love or the icy look it portrays, I just find it delightful. Livingstone Daisies only open in the sunlight so it was a good thing I designed this block on a sunny day.

Here are some photos I snapped from my mother's garden of Livingstone Daisies.

I made each flower with individual petals in two fabrics and free-motioned them in place. Here is a close up without the center stitched.

I used a small zigzag free-motion stitch to attach the center circle.

My finished block looks like this.
