Over the past couple of weeks I made two blocks from the ABC's baby quilt. I made the T block and the S Block. Today I'm going to be a little creative and show you an idea I came up with when first making the T block.

Crown of Thorns

Crown of Thorns is very much like the block I made last week called Girl's Favorite 2. Other than the fabric changing place, there is only one difference. Can you spot it in the two blocks below?

Up until 2000 I'd been busy making art quilts for galleries who would sell them. It was fun and exciting creating new original pieces however it wasn't very profitable. At this time, I had entered a few NZ Hoffman Challenges always having my piece accepted for travel on display throughout the different venues.

Friday Flower Tulip

Recently I had a student, Connie Martin shared some of her work she had completed in Zoo Friends - an online class by Jennifer Houlden. As Connie also works she didn't have time to make the class quilt right now, but she did manage to make some bibs and a pillow case to try the animal applique during class time. She will make the quilt later.

Last Tuesday I started making the blocks in the ABC's baby quilt pattern. I made T for turtle and I asked my readers what letter I should make next. Stephanie suggested "h o m a s" (the remaining lettings in my grandson's name Thomas) so this week I decided to make the S block.
