Last Monday, I put together two blocks "Card Trick" and "Grecian Square" to see how they looked. They coupled well together I thought so this week I made some more to make a small quilt. I wanted to share the requirements with you. I made a total of EIGHT "Card Trick" blocks and SEVEN "Grecian Square" blocks. The blocks are 6" finished blocks.

Stitch Along Sunday begins

Posted by Ruth on 9 June 2013 | 27 Comments

After seeing some incrediable art quilts recently, I realized how much I missed art quilting myself, mostly the challenges of coming up with something based on fabrics, ideas or words. Thus I decided "Stitch Along Sunday" should be born. This program will be based on art quilts using any media and I hope some of you will join me. We will start out simple and get a little more challenging as we go along. I would love to hear any ideas on how to make this a real fun program.

So what do waffles have in common with quilting other than they make an excellent way to start a quilting day? Add a little cottage cheese with some canned or fresh fruit and you have a wonderful breakfast. It also makes for an interesting quilting design.

Veggie Burgers

Have you ever had a veggie burger? A friend introduced me to these a few years back and I think they are better than regular burgers. I make a big batch of them and put them in the freezer so they make a real easy meal. You can slap them between burger buns, rolls or bread. Any way they taste great.
