Rules this week was to pick a shape, circle, oval or arc. Check out the full week 2 rules if you missed them. I decided on a circle and I figured the easiest method of drawing circles was to find some round objects in the house. That's pretty easy. A water glass, a wine glass (both glasses are different sizes), a lid and a candle. I positioned them all on my fabric made last week.

Well as busy as I am, I just couldn't help it. I commited myself to Nancy Chong's Stress-free Celtic Knot Tablerunner class. I have always loved doing Celtic work. In fact, last year I published a new pattern called Celtic Jewel which is a mix of patchwork, applique and celtic knots. I usually do my work by machine (not always, but in more recent years mainly because of the time factor), but today I wanted to try Nancy's way, because it is always fun to learn new ways to do things.

So today I was working on another project and I was thinking about the challenge while doing so. I happened to be digging in a container of samples and a block jumped right up at me. It was one I had started last year that I'd never got any further with and it was screaming at me, "use me". It just so happened it was made of strips so would work perfectly for the challenge.
