Is it a Butterfly?
This week I have been playing around with some kaleidoscope designs as I put together my newest e-book download. The designs were all generated by one image - an image with a butterfly and floral arrangement. Each design created is very different and in most, you cannot even determine there was a butterfly at all!
Hops and Leaves
Hops and leaves - what am I talking about? Part of Sue's adventure to NZ included me showing her where I was raised as a young girl. Although the house I lived in from 0-11 yrs old is long gone along with the hop farm I grew up on, the Liquid Amber Maple tree Mum planted when I was born is still going strong.
A New Technique and Free Tutorial
I had fun recently trying a new technique - art yarn. This is my first attempt and I know I need some improvements but I'll work on those! In the meantime, I thought I would use the art yarn to make some sort of decorative fabric creation.
Free Tote Instructions
Last week I had the Black-eyed Susan block "under the needle" so this week I decided to revisit the previous Spring Life BOM block - the clematis. In my BOM program, I used the design to decorate a corner of a block so I could demonstrate Echo quilting and now I have decided to turn this block into a small tote to hold a book I made for a friend. Today I want to share with you the instructions on how to make this tote..... and it's easy to adapt if you need to!
