Christmas Block-a-thon block 2

For this week's blog, I decided to play with EQ8 to design my own block. It's easy to start with a block and move some lines around however it is always best to start with the size you intend using so you don't get funky cutting instructions. For example, if you want a 12" finished block, don't play with a 5-patch block. On the other hand, a 6" block would be fine because you can double it to make 12".

Down on the Farm - Ducks

I spent Christmas down on the farm at my daughter's place in North Canterbury. It's such a different lifestyle than the big city! It reminded me of my Country quilt I made a number of years ago "A Day in the Country" which is not only a BOM series but also an online workshop.

What's happening in 2020

Today I've been taking some time to think about what 2020 will bring. The day had started out fill of interruptions which in turn brought distractions and other things to think about. Which door shall I open? There seem to be so many options. I'm certainly never short of a design or idea I want to create.
