Machine Quilting Day 38

Posted by Ruth on 18 September 2013 | 0 Comments

I've been back to the pantry looking for quilting ideas. As it happened this week while shopping I bought same elbow noodles. I thought this could make an interesting design.

I played a little with paper and pencil first to get an idea of what I wanted to stitch. Then I threaded up the machine and began quilting.

I stitched a back-to-front C first, then doubled back on it to about halfway before starting the next.

Here I am a little further along.

At first I didn't really like the design, but as I worked it, I loosened up a little and had more fun with it.

This created a rather fun fill-in stitch. I particularly like the bit in the center where the C shapes curl inside each other.
