If you are a follwer of my blog you will probably know by now that I have a great passion for Hoffman Fabrics. I was recently making a quilt with Bali Pops and charm squares and the design in one of the fabrics started me thinking "What a great quilting inspiration this is".

Hoffman Fabric

I used the idea to create a square design. In some places I needed to travel over part of the existing square to start a new one.

Square Quilting Design

I could do with a little more practice with this idea but my mind was ahead of me as I was thinking of borders. I decided to use the same concept but not really make squares, this way I didn't need to backtrack over the stitching. This is what I came up with.

Border Quilting Design

I really like this better.
