It was a wonderful refreshing sight when I saw this beautiful quilt arrive in my inbox. Joanne from Armstrong, BC, Canada had recently purchased my pattern "Color Connections" and wanted to share a photo of her finished quilt.
I am so excited to be able to publish my Block of the Month program and it is perfect for Spring! If you love butterflies, then you'll love this quilt too. I made this quilt for my granddaughter Amy as she just loves butterflies which is the theme for her bedroom.
Every quilt has a story attached to it, whether it be short or long, it is always personal to the maker and the receiver which makes every quilt special. Today I want to share my story of a quilt I made this week.
I am so excited to be able to present another quilt in Hoffman Fabrics booth at International Market in Houston this Fall. I used my newest pattern "Reflections" which is a bargello design and used Hoffman's newest batik fabrics. The Hoffman Fabrics were perfect.
If you need a new way to use those 2 1/2" strips you have been collecting, you want to give this pattern a try "Flower Boxes". There are multiple layout and border options to make any size quilt you need and this technique is definitely a new one. Include the flowers or not, the inspiration can lead you into a new world of creativity.
Hey, I decided to do a pattern giveaway. I want to give away one of my favorite flower patterns.... the Calla Lily quilt "Light Upon the Earth".
I am so excited to finally get another quilt pattern published. It is always a good feeling to get another chalked off the board so I can move onto the next. Of course, by the time I chalk one off, I've usually added at least half a dozen more. Anyway, my latest pattern is called Changing Seasons.
Any excuse to make something for someone is always high on my list of things to do especially when it comes to Christmas and Birthdays, so knowing my granddaughter Amy loves purses, I just had to make her one this Christmas. I used my Candy Sweet Purse Pattern to create a new style design just for her. The original pattern has two applique designs that can be used - or you can use a favorite fabric in the panel inside - but I chose to create my own fabric and add some additional touches.
