Last week I decided to make the Thanksgiving tablerunner from the Festive Runners pattern. I was trying to decide which set of fabrics to use.

This week I changed my mind and made a new selection of fabrics. This pattern is easy, it is all based on half square triangles so all I have to do is cut squares.

On the original pattern I added applique. For this tablerunner I wanted to show you how it looked without applique. I added the leaf designed I created last week. I stitched around the leaf twice using a variegated thread.

Then I free-motioned just outside the seams around the star block. This can always be done with straight quilting but I decided just to free-motion it this time.

I finished it off by binding it in green.

I had fun making this design again and even more fun quilting it. Now I have the perfect tablerunner for my table setting all Autumn long.

This pattern can be downloaded or a kit purchased for this tablerunner or you can click here for more information about the full hardcopy pattern for festive runners.
