Not so Blue - Bargello Blues
Recently Maxine Buisson made my Bargello Blues design and shared a photo with me. Although it has a dash of blue in it, it is made up of a variety of other colors too and turned our really well. Maxine made the larger version and then added to it to make a full sized king quilt.
I see the cat is enjoying the quilt too!
It's beautiful and always wonderful to see how others interrupt on of my designs by injecting their own color ideas.
Bargello Blues was one of my very first designs, even before I started writing patterns. In fact, it was the very first Bargello I ever made. The original was sold in an art gallery I was exhibiting in around 20 years ago and it wasn't until the beginning of the 21st century that I made it into an online class - that sounds like many more years ago than it really is!
The online class is my advanced class in Bargello design. Not only do you make the Bargello Blues design, but two lessons are devoted to learning how to create your own Bargello. Presenting this design course online is a much better way than trying to teach it in person as we have a lot more time to dedicate to it. One of my favorite parts about the class is seeing what other students create in the way of their own designs.
