Did you check out the Gallery last week? We are having some fun. It's not too late to join us so check back to rules for week 1 and week 2, to get started.

Week 3 Rules for August Stitch Along

Remember "B" is for "Birthday" and that's what we need to keep in mind.

From your main fabric, cut out TWO 12" squares - or the size you want, but 12" is a good size for this project. You will also need TWO of the same size in thin batting and backing fabric.

On your main squares, mark in the following lines. If you are using a directional fabric, make sure the top is the edge with the 1" line.

1" from the top, 2.5" from other edges

Now, layer the main fabric with batting and backing, then decorate within the inner area of the section. If you made individual letters last week, add these in the design area. You can just decorate one of the squares or both, the choice is yours.

When you are decorating, make sure you keep your theme to birthday - balloons, presents, ribbons, gifts, party or whatever you can think up that has to do with birthday.
