I updated the gallery a couple of times this week so hope you checked it out. The projects are looking really interesting. June Gallery - now it's time for week three rules.
Rules this week was to pick a shape, circle, oval or arc. Check out the full week 2 rules if you missed them. I decided on a circle and I figured the easiest method of drawing circles was to find some round objects in the house. That's pretty easy. A water glass, a wine glass (both glasses are different sizes), a lid and a candle. I positioned them all on my fabric made last week.
Are you ready to join in for another challenge week? I'm already having fun knowing what is in store for this week. If you missed out on week 1 rules, you can find them here: June Challenge week 1 rules.
So today I was working on another project and I was thinking about the challenge while doing so. I happened to be digging in a container of samples and a block jumped right up at me. It was one I had started last year that I'd never got any further with and it was screaming at me, "use me". It just so happened it was made of strips so would work perfectly for the challenge.
June 1st is Sunday so we see a new stitch along challenge. Our theme for this month is Shapes. Are you ready to get started?
I never quite got my stitch along project finished yesterday so had to get to today - a bad headache got in the way! But now, I'm happy to say my projects are finished.
I'm having fun with stitching this week, that is of course, after I cut up my blocks. After carefully stacking the two blocks exactly on top of each other, I made three cuts through them. Then rearranged them so they alternated from light to dark all the way around. This is how they looked:
Week three rules are going to be fun. Get ready with your rotary cutter and ruler and let's begin.
Did you miss the rules for week 2? They are easy to do so join in the fun. This is not only fun but a great way to make a bunch of Christmas gifts for later on. That's what I'm going to be doing with the end results of this challenge. You can get in the action by checking out the rules for Week 1 and Week 2.
