April Stitch Along week 4
This is our fourth block for April, designed by my autistic son for Autism Awareness month. If you have been following along, you know that I've turned his drawings into quilt blocks and he is collecting money from each block sold. I'd like him to save up for a class to further his drawing skills, but he insists he wants to save up for a new computer game. Well, it is his to do as he wishes and the main thing is, he is earning it for himself, which is a wonderful accomplishment on its own.
So this week we have the tortoise block. This was definitely fun to make, and in fact, it has created a new idea in my mind that I want to play with. More about that later on.
I decided that I would enhance the shell a little, but I'm thinking I prefer it the original way as shown above.
What do you think?

So next week we are back to our usual Stitch Along Challenges. I'd better get my thinking cap on and come up with something. How about we grab the camera and go for a walk, and come up with some creative nature inspired idea? Are you game to give it a try? I hope so. See you later this week for the first rules of our May Stitch Along Challenge.
