March Stitch Along Rules Week 3

Posted by Ruth on 17 March 2016 | 0 Comments

I have to apologize for being a little late with the rules for this week. It's been a bit of a trying time these last couple of weeks, but being creative definitely helps. In any case, I realize last week that I had forgotten to add the background design in my creation so let's start by me showing you what I did.

First, I continued the "piano" lines to the edge of the page. The blue arrows in the image below show some of these lines. This will help with constructing my piece.

Then I added further lines in to create a dimensional effect. These straight lines will make it easy to foundation piece my background areas. So you can see, as one designs, it pays to think about how best to construct it. Often, that helps in the designing process as well.

Week Three Rules

So Week Three rules is to first determine the best method or process of constructing your design. Then go ahead and piece or applique your design.

Once done, go ahead and layer it with batting and backing ready to quilt next week. I look forward to seeing what you created!
