Week One Gallery Images
Barbara sent her photo of fabric and threads. She is thinking "circles combining the two paisley designs from the fabric".
Amanda also sent in a photo. She says... "after I had cut my blah, uninspiring fabric into circles, I liked it much better!" and she also discovered that by photographing possible position variations for the circles she can compare them and select the one she likes best - much easier than trying to remember all the possibilities. Great discovery!
Jennifer wrote a blog post on her fabric selection. You can read about it here on her blog.
I selected a soft blue and gold fabric - a little pale for my liking. You can read about my other choices on my recent blog post.
Week Two Gallery Images
Jennifer sent in a photo for week two. You can read about it on her blog.
Here is my Stitch along. I haven't attached the shapes yet as I haven't decided exactly which way to attach them. Read more on my week two post.
Amanda sent along her photo. The circles are looking great. It is amazing what one can designs using a simple shape!
Barbara also sent in a photo of her abstract pieces:
Week Three Gallery Images
Jennifer has stitched around her triangles. You can read how on her blog.
I'm liking the edging I've added to my triangles. Read about it on my week 3 blog post.
Week Four Gallery Images
Amanda was going to add the straw beads, but they were too big for her project. "Couching was more successful even though I had
to make do with embroidery cotton - some interestingcords are definitely on my "to get" list. I did the binding with blanket stitch and couched embroidery cotton - it doesn't show up all that well in the photo, but I liked the effect"says Amanda.
I added quilting to my piece but still need to decide what binding I should use - gold or blue. Check my recent blog post out for more details.
