Stitch Along Gallery - March 2015
Here is the March Stitch Along Gallery. I hope more will join in this month. It's a lot of fun, doesn't take a lot of fabric or time and gives you a chance to be creative. What are you waiting for? Here are the rules:
March Week One
Amanda sent along some fabrics. She chose "land" for her theme. She hasn't cut her strips yet, probably waiting to hear what we do next :)
Jennifer kind of chose between two "sea" and "land" or perhaps "sky" and "land". You can read about it on her blog.
And Jennifer's threads...
I am yet to decide because I want you to decide for me. Please leave a comment at the bottom of my post as to which theme you think I should use. Read my blog here.
Marilyn joined in this week too! She has using a land/sea theme. I see she used threads down to the very last strand, just like me! Way to go Marilyn.
March Week Two
Amanda sent in her block with a little dinosaur applique. How cute is that?
Jennifer made her selection into land and added a palm tree. That's cute too! You can read about it on her blog.
I need to make a decision on whether to have one or two Nemos on my block. I hope you will help me decide. Leave a comment below or on my latest blog post.
Great to see Marilyn using something a little different - fussy cutting works! Find out more on Marilyn's blog.
March Week Three
Jennifer sent in her piece. You can read how she constructed on her blog post.
And here is my sea aquarium with two Nemos. Read about how I did the stitching on my latest blog post.
Here is Marilyn's block - great idea for the perpendicular element!
And Amanda sent in her block. Just love all these cute blocks!
March Week Four
These really cute blocks are turning out wonderful. Marilyn added stitching to her piece as well as couching in some white cloud in the sky. Perfect addition.
Jennifer's idea to had foot prints made a wonderful vertical element. Read about it on her blog.
And I added additional stitching to the fish fins as well as couched colorful seaweed. Read how I did it in my latest post.
March Week Five
We have some awesome work this month. Check it out!
and I made two blocks finished slightly differently.
