Stitch Along Gallery - May 2015
May gallery will be interesting I'm sure. Why not join in the fun? Here are the rules to get you started:
Gallery - May Week 1
Marilyn stitched a background of light fabrics:
and I also used light fabrics. You can read about how I created this on my previous blog post.
Amanda is back joining in the challenge this month. Here is her background.
Jennifer sent along her stitch along. I like the colored thread she used!
Gallery - May Week 2
Here is Jennifer's week two piece. She changed it out a bit. You can read about it on her blog.
I chose this option as I preferred the dark outside. You can see the other possible option I had on my recent blog post.
Marilyn sent in her week 2 photo. She changed it out a bit. Awesome!
Amanda also sent in her piece. Love these dots...
Gallery - May Week 3
Jennifer's stitch along is looking great! Be sure to check out her blog post.
I had fun adding additional applique to my stitch along. You can check how I auditioned different border options in my previous post.
Amanda made a round quilt, how cool is that? She says... "This week took a fair bit of thought! I finally went with the circular border, I liked how it worked with the motif and it gave me a chance to use my expensive but seldom used circle cutting stencil!
The border is denim and I washed it to get the frayed edge look - my husband wasn't too impressed, when I was photographing it he asked if I was going to tidy up those
rough edges first.".... Awesome Amanda!
Gallery - May Week 4
Amanda blanket stitched around her shapes and filled in the green area with a squiggle.
Jennifer did satin stitch on her piece. You can read more about it on her blog.
I double stitched using free-motion and then added stipple to quilt it down. You can read about it on my recent blog post.
Gallery - May Week 5
All about finishing off. I used a back to front binding and a leaf label. Read more about in on my blog post.
Jennifer added triangles to her border. You can read about how she attached them in her blog post.
I can't wait to see what the others have done!
